Hou Bin

The winner of the Paralympic Games in Atlanta and Sydney is the favourite this time again. He has reached a height of 1.90 m quite often - in europe nobody jumps 1.70 at the moment. His only real rival for gold is his teammate Guo Wei Zhong.

Guo Wei Zhong

The second chinese guy in the competition has a little injury. His knee is taped. Nevertheless the europeans should not hope to beat him. The chinese athletes are far too strong for us at the moment.

Heinrich Popow

The young German was fourth at the european championships in 2003. He is one of my rivals for the last medal behind the Chinese. He claims to have jumped 1.70 already. I haven't reached that height yet. He also competed in 100 m, 200 m and long jump, where he always won the bronze-medal.

Leszek Cmikiewicz

The current european champion should be on everybody's list for bronze. Of course the polish jumper cannot reach chinese heights but with a good performance he could end up third. His personal best is 1.68 m, the same as mine.

Hristo Gerganski

The third of the last european championships is the oldest competitor. He reached a season best of 1.65 m in 2004. That height automatically puts you to the top 3 in europe at the moment. He is the fourth competitor to have the possibility to win the bronze-medal.
